Dallas culinary industry veterans, Katherine Clapner and Sharon Van Meter, created The Giving Table, a fundraising dining experience featuring Dallas’ restaurant all-stars, in July 2016 following the downtown mass shooting that took the lives of 5 Dallas police officers. Since the inaugural event held at 3015 at Trinity Groves to raise funds for the families of the fallen officers, The Giving Table has produced events to benefit victims of Hurricane Harvey, Dallas chef Josh Bonee and The Agape Clinic. For each event Dallas’ top chefs and hospitality industry insiders have banded together without fail to support those in need in our city, our state and in our own backyard…now those that have always jumped in to help are the ones in need.

As the restaurant industry in Texas continues to suffer due to the Covid-19 pandemic The Giving Table group has created The Giving Table at Home…weekly chef-driven family meals with the proceeds going to Texas Restaurant Association’s Texas Restaurant Relief Fund.
