Chef Sharon Van Meter, W.M.C.S
A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France, Chef Sharon Van Meter brings more than forty years of award-winning and acclaimed culinary experience to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Chef Van Meter has served the culinary world as Executive Chef of The Ritz-Carlton, International, Professor of American Cuisine at Paris’ Le Cordon Bleu and Executive Chef in the renowned kitchens of Neiman Marcus, Dallas, Texas. Currently, Sharon is CEO of SVM Productions, LLC, a leader in the television, radio and culinary productions world.
Chef Van Meter has been inducted in the honorable culinary societies of the American Culinary Federation, World Master Chefs Society, Les Dames d’Escoffier International,
and Euro-Toques International.
She has served as President of the Dallas Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier and 1st Vice President, Les Dames d’Escoffier International. In 2009, Chef Van Meter became the first female Director of the American Culinary Federation-Texas Chefs Association.
Sharon is a member of the National Restaurant Association and has been on the Board of Directors of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association since 2010; served as President of the GDRA Board of Directors in 2015-2016. Sharon serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Restaurant Association and is current chairwoman of the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation.
Her numerous volunteer and humanitarian efforts range from the fight against hunger by involvement with Share Our Strength’s “Taste of the Nation” event to the National AIDS Foundation “Touring Chefs” program to Habitat for Humanity’s “House Party.” Sharon served on First Lady Michelle Obama’s Chefs Move! to Schools task force. In 2008, she received the National Restaurant Association’s “Cornerstone Humanitarian Award”.
Heather volunteered her way into event planning and production. A graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Speech Communications and Spanish, she enjoyed a career in marketing and public relations in Austin and Houston before moving back to her hometown of Tyler in early 2001.
While working as the Director of Development for Habitat for Humanity of Smith County, Heather became very involved with the Junior League of Tyler, American Cancer Society and American Heart Association organizations. Volunteering went hand-in-hand with event planning as all fundraising events require creativity, logistical expertise and attention to detail. Heather’s event planning and fundraising volunteer positions led her to the East Texas State Fair where she assumed the role of Director of Presentation & Development. While with ETSF, Heather was responsible for creating the sponsorship program, recruiting entertainment and booking headline concerts that resulted in attendance growth and a renewed community affection for the ten-day event.
Heather served as chairwoman of the Junior League of Tyler’s Mistletoe & Magic shopping market, co-chaired the 25th anniversary Tyler Cattle Barons’ Gala for the American Cancer Society and held multiple leadership positions on the Trinity Mother Frances Women’s Board and with Texas Rose Festival before moving her family to Dallas.
Heather joined 3015 at Trinity Groves in 2015 after working as the assistant director of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association. Heather leads the sales, marketing and event production at 3015. In 2018 Heather became a partner in the event and catering business and was named Vice President of Operations in 2019. She currently serves on the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association board of directors as the Events Co-Chair, Medical City Dallas Kids Fit Advisory Committee and on the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation board of trustees as the Fundraising Co-Chair.
